A retreat for shrimp, small catfish and juvenile fish. The tubes are dark enough for the animals to feel safe, while the open Voronoi pattern gives them structure to cling to and graze on.
The pattern also works well for attaching plants. Moss, Anubias or Bucephalandra can be tied or glued to the struts and will grow through the structure over time. After a few months barely any of the cave itself is visible and it settles into the layout like an overgrown stone.
Dimensions
Each tube is 25 mm on the outside, roughly 22 mm inside, and 62 mm long. The tubes are permanently joined, available as a cluster of three, five or six.
Material
Printed in PETG. Water-resistant and dimensionally stable, even after months in the tank. PLA softens permanently in water and turns brittle, which is why I don't use it for aquarium parts.
Colours
Black, White, Grey, Blue, Green, Purple
About the finish
I print every part in Germany, check each one myself and pack it by hand. The fine lines on the surface are part of 3D printing, not a defect.
Prices shown are total prices. VAT is not charged under the small business regulation (§ 19 UStG, Germany).
